"We met up with Loan at Dong Xuan market and spent the next 3 hours exploring places only locals would know. Time flew and although there was a fair amount of walking we knew we seeing and hearing something special - Loan doesn’t just regurgitate facts about history but puts her own warm personal touch on them with a depth of feeling that is difficult to describe. We ended our tour at the Maison Centrale prison which was both emotional and shocking whilst humbling and informative.
