Fantastic day in Chandni Chowk
"I had a fantastic afternoon exploring Chandni Chowk with Ritesh, with breaks for the best street food! I gained an appreciation for how the history of Delhi melds into the present: while some families have been trading in the market for generations, there’s no form of historic preservation as in Europe. Some buildings are crumbling while new construction is underway next door.
I mentioned at the start of our booking that I needed to find 2 more outfits for the wedding I’m attending this weekend. Ritesh was on the case, checking with friends on the best shops to visit. I’m very happy with the saree and blouse we found for the Mehendi ceremony and the fabric for the suit for the Haldi ceremony. We ran into several guys Ritesh described as ‘uncles’ (not literally his uncles; older guys from his neighbourhood) and I felt very safe in what could have been an overwhelming environment.
I told my friend who lives in Delhi about the street food we ate; she’s excited to try the Japani Samosa (Manohar Dhaba, near Lajpat Rai electronics market) and the black dhal (Kake di Hatti near the spice market).
After our tour, Ritesh went above and beyond in helping me get the eSIM for my phone. My driver guy didn’t know where to go or what to say in the shop to help with this, but Ritesh was all over it. He accompanied me to the mobile phone shop, translated and made sure I got connected."

Fabulous food and history walking tour
"Ritesh was a fabulous guide from the start to the finish. All the food we tasted was delicious and from stalls that we would never have found on our own. Because he works in the food industry he really knows his stuff and the right places to go.
He also did history at university and was very insightful about Old Delhi. If we had time we definitely do a history tour with him too.
His English is excellent

"We book Mona for our first day touring in new Delhi and for an introduction to the city and we are glad we did. Mona was a great guide for us throughout, knowledgeable and adaptable to our needs and asks. it was a great way to be introduced to the city and its people and we had a full on and really enjoyable day. Mona was quick to communicate with us before our travel to organize the day, and also had plenty of options for us to choose from and re-adjust in the moment, as part of the city was, unexpectedly, closed due to a foreign state visit during our tour.
