We were a group of four and had an amazing 3-hour tour with him. He was funny, knowledgeable, and full of great stories that brought the city’s history and hidden corners to life. Even though I already knew quite a bit about Edinburgh, Chris still managed to surprise me with facts and sights I hadn’t seen before!

"Russell was the best guide for our introduction to Edinburgh. We’ve never been to the city or even Scotland. We learned so much under Russell’s care and he opened our eyes to the secrets and history of Edinburgh. We also had an emergency and Russell was so accommodating - rescheduling with us and giving us plentiful recommendations for our interests while in town. He also was mindful of our limitations during the tour and adapting to what was needed. Hope to join him again one day for more deep diving into this striking city. "

"If you are in Edinburgh, please make sure you book a tour with Alice. She took us to many fabulous areas and had so much information, it was almost hard to keep up. We loved all of the location she took us to and all of the secret places. She pointed out areas where there were no tourist, but had interesting information about the location. She is a great storyteller – ask her about that! And we wish we could have booked her for more tours but sadly, we were only in Edinburgh for a few days. If we are ever back in Edinburgh, we will definitely book a tour with her."

With our permission, his very kind and mellow labradoodle dog named Brodie joined us. Brodie made us feel at home, as we were missing our whoodle dog. I highly recommend Russell as a guide, and the bonus guide Brodie, if you'd like some canine company as well!"

"Mark has an incredible knowledge of the city – every building seemed to come with a story, truly impressing! What we appreciated most was how well he adapted to our wishes: we wanted to explore a bit off the usual tourist paths, and he absolutely nailed it.
Mark is super friendly, open-minded, and easy-going – the whole tour felt more like a walk with a friend than a guided tour. He had an answer to every question, kept checking in for feedback along the way, and even reserved us a great spot in a cozy, authentic pub – where he organized a whisky tasting just for us! On top of that, he gave us some amazing local tips for hidden gems, restaurants, and pubs that made the rest of our stay even better.
