"Fantastic experience with Juliana! She delivered a really immersive experience with 3 separate stops over the 3 hours with her (in spite of suffering with a nasty head cold) and we shared not only delicious and extremely local food - all vegetarian, all authentic - but also stories and traveller's tales. We were slightly nervous beforehand but needn’t have worried, it was a thoroughly enjoyable time throughout. Most importantly we tried things we would never have even considered ordering and, with a guide, our confidence levels (hygiene related, we are not in Mumbai for long and do not want to spend a disproportionate amount of time in the toilet) rocketed - my wife had been warned off Pani Puri by Indian work colleagues and friends but proved to be her favourite of the 10 (come hungry!) things we ate. Don’t come expecting a dining rampage across the city. We stayed reasonably locally around Dadar and we were happy with that but some people may not be. We visited 3 different venues but only 1 was an open air standing stall. This didn’t bother us at all but if you are looking for an exclusively ‘hawker market’ experience then this might not be for you. What we did get was a considerate host with local knowledge who provided us with as genuine an experience as you expect for middle aged folk from That London. Just don’t be afraid to specify if there are things you do and don’t want to do and you will have a great time. Thanks Juliana."

"We went on a Tasting tour with Chandramohan. He took us to very interesting places with really tasty and varied foods - and lots of it! He was such good company and told us all about the areas we visited and the history of the surrounding areas. We then booked the ‘off the beaten track’ with him & had such an interesting tour. We really got to know how things worked in Dharavi & see how it contrasted to other parts of the city. Chandramohan is obviously well liked by locals and has a real passion for his home city which allowed us to get the very best from our tours. "My family and I did the slum walking tour with Shrikanth and honestly, it was one of the highlights of our Mumbai trip. The guy really knows his stuff he's super knowledgeable about the area and explained everything in a way that actually made sense, not just random facts thrown at you. What we loved most was how respectful and genuine he was. You could tell he really cares about the community and wasn't just taking us through for the spectacle. He introduced us to locals, showed us how things actually work there, and answered all our (probably annoying) questions with patience. Shrikanth was also just really easy to be around friendly, professional, and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. Never felt rushed or awkward. "We had a great afternoon with Shrikanth The communication prior to the date was clear and Shrikanth was there is plenty of time to meet us. We visited lots of different locations and Shrikanth shared his knowledge of the food & culture. There was ALOT of food and by the end of the tour my husband and I struggled to finish the dishes even though each and everyone was delicious. Shrikanth took lots of photos during the afternoon and shared all of these with us after. At the end of the tour he helped us with our travel plans purchasing tickets for us and navigating the railway even making sure we were safely on the train before leaving us. A wonderful tour with great food that we would highly recommend."

" This was the best tour ever, Shrikanth gave us a tour that I will remember forever, if you really want a real insight into what life is like in this huge slum then this tour is for you, it is both inspirational and, at times, difficult. You really get into how this place somehow works and the jobs it creates and the communities it supports. There is no question that life here is tough but the people seem happy. They were genuinely happy to engage and talk and be photographed by us and with us, so many of the kids were engaging with us and wanting selfies with us. Shrikanth took us right into the heart of Daravi and through the different districts, we met Hindus, Tamils, Gujaratis and Muslims all living side by side This tour with Shrikanth is not to be missed, I have some amazing memories…thanks so much Shrikanth, Phir milenge"
