"What a great guide! Monica gave us a terrific introduction to the famous landmarks and "hidden gems" in the area around the Royal Mile of Edinburgh. She gave us a bit of history so that we could understand what we were looking at, told many interesting stories of notable Scots and brought us to some beautiful (and quiet) parts of this otherwise very busy section of Edinburgh. We learned what a "Close" is, about famous authors and thinkers who hailed from Edinburgh and she treated us to a piece of the best fudge in Edinburgh! Monica made us feel welcome and at home. By the end of the tour, we felt like we had made a new friend."
