"We were very impressed with our guide Trang who met us at our hotel and travelled with us out into the suburbs of Hanoi, where we wandered the wonderful food and produce markets and then visited apartments where everyday Vietnamese people live. This was very illuminating and something not many visitors to Vietnam experience. Trang gave us so much valuable information about local life in a relaxed manner. We enjoyed tea at a very special tea shop in a peaceful street and by chance were invited to meet a master calligrapher and try our hand at this ancient classic art. Great intro to Hanoi with Lien
"When we met Lien that afternoon, we hadn’t had lunch as our flight was delayed arriving in Hanoi. So we threw her the first challenge to find us a good local place for lunch before we did our walking tour with her. Lien brought us to a lovely egg noodles place and we really enjoyed it 😋
With a happy belly, we continued our tour and she managed to cover most of the highlights and hidden gems. A great intro to Hanoi with a lovely guide ☺️"

Ruby is truly a gem in Hanoi
"I got to experience parts of Hanoi which I would not have known about if I toured on my own. Ruby made the two days (first day Hanoi Old Quarter, second day Nghia Tan) thoroughly enjoyable with a mix of local knowledge, history and opening up about her own life and experiences. There’s only so much you can pack into a 3-ish hour tour and Hanoi is full on in your face but what I did experience will never be forgotten.
Ruby is funny, flexible and full of energy. Hanoi grew on me due to her. Thank you 🙏🏼 "

"My husband and I went on a personalized tour in Ha Noi with Lien as our guide, and I want to fully recommend her and the tour! She showed us hidden coffee shops, restaurants and a shrine (or maybe a temple? Please forgive my American ignorance and short memory) as well as some of the more well-known spots in the city. Lien’s English is perfect and she has tremendous feeling for her city and its history and inhabitants. She went above and beyond the tour—we mentioned that we’d like to see the water puppet show and she procured tickets for us, which saved us some time (just to be clear, the tix were not included in the tour price). She was just wonderful and really helped us enjoy what can be an overwhelming city. I can’t recommend her highly enough. "
