"Pathu took us on the most amazing adventure when we’d originally booked for the walking tour of old town when the markets were not on. Not to be deterred, Pathu quickly suggested an alternative with both the local knowledge sharing of Old Town and then onto her favourite local food stalls and finishing up in the secret bar you’d never know was there. Definitely recommend Pathu as a guide! "

Some of the notable places went that took my breath away are the scenic viewpoints at Promthep Cape and Kata Karon featuring the 3 most iconic beaches in phuket. "Neena is an empathic guide who goes beyond the usual. While we signed up for a food tasting, we learnt a lot more—about her personal history, the history of the people of Phuket, the city, and everything that makes it so charming, including its sino-Portuguese architecture. Of course, she has great insights on local food and took us to eateries travellers usually don’t visit. She is well travelled herself, which enables her to weave in different cultural contexts in the course of conversation. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Phuket. "

"I had an amazing three hours with Pathu. We met in the museum and she explained the exhibition to me. Then we visited a typical Phuket house, several temples and streets in Old Town Phuket. Pathu is very knowledgeable about history and architecture and made great links to what we had seen in the museum. Most of all, she explained the diverse and fascinating cultural heritage of the Thai people in Phuket. I highly recommend this tour."

The tour gave us a really good feeling for Phuket’s history both as part of Thailand and as part of the region, as well as simply explaining what all the buildings we walked by were and had been in the past. Pathu has a strong connection to the place and clearly loves her job. You may have the option to start the tour in a museum. Although this adds to the cost and isn’t essential it is a really worthwhile deep dive into the history of Phuket through the stories and artifacts of one family. "
