"We really liked that the tastes weren't heavy or bulky so one didn't end up feeling like a foie gras goose. And as a personal tour could be tailored. Through the course of the tour we sampled items that covered breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Maria was extremely knowledgeable about Porto (being a local!) and Portugal and because her English comprehension and vocab is as fluent as us native English speakers we were able to delve into all sorts of topics about life in Portugal with ease. "Vera took us to several places to try local specialties. We started at the Minerva shop to have surprisingly delicious tinned sardines, mackerel paté, tuna belly. We proceeded to the Bolhao market to taste fresh oysters, olives, olive oil. We had pastel de nata with port, tasty Portuguese hot dogs. Loved the experience and Vera's dry wit. Recommend this tour.

"Teresa was ill, unfortunately, but the wonderful Silvia showed us around some lovely parts of Porto and introduced us to some delicious food, sheep’s cheese being one of them, and we got to try some green wine too! These were not the usual tourist trap places, rather, smaller genuine food and drink places, Silvia was delightful and I would recommend the whole thing!"

"My family of 6 had a great time on a Porto Food Tour with Mayumi! We range from ages 16 to 60 and some of us have food allergies. Mayumi took great care to make sure to craft the tour in a way that all of us had a great experience! She had juices (instead of wine/port) waiting for my daughter who doesn't drink alcohol, and also made sure to make sure her food didn't contain nuts. This thoughtfulness was very much appreciated!
Mayumi has a deep knowledge and understanding of not only the local food scene in Porto but the historical context of how Porto developed as a global destination. She was clear, fun and very caring.
