"So far, With Locals tours are 3 for 3! Ilona is not a native of Malta, but she has made it her home for 8 years and knows a lot. It is obvious that she loves Valetta and is knowledgeable about the history of the island. She is friendly, down-to-earth, flexible, fun and entertaining. She really tailored our time to what we wanted to see, and took us to more local areas away from the crowds. We stopped at a cafe and got pistachio pastries and espresso/cappuccino (mine with Sambucca) which was delicious. If you are looking for a detailed historical tour with hundreds of exact dates and facts, this is not for you. But if you want a tour that shows you Valleta and gives you an understanding of the history of the city and of Malta without getting deep in the details, then we highly recommend you book with Ilona.
