"Janismet us at our hotel. He arrived early and was well prepared including hand wipes. He visited the market the prior day to ensure everything was arranged for us. Our tour was scheduled for a slow day when many vendors are not open. We were able to try a variety of tasty foods ranging from smoked mets, cheeses, breads, fruit and candy. We partook of drinks, Samohonka (alcoholic) and Kvass (non-alcoholic). Janis took us behind the scens into the inner workings of the market basement."
