He was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Osaka, he pointed us to the best places to try the foods of Osaka, and he expertly guided us using various trains, so that we could see as much as possible during the length of our tour. He was kind to us throughout. He even met us at a different starting point and dropped us off at the same spot because we are not familiar with the train system in Osaka. One highlight was a small museum featuring a life-size reconstruction of historic Osaka, where you can walk through houses, shops, and narrow back alleys and really get a sense of what the city was like in the past. She also led me down a tucked-away alley decorated with murals depicting Osaka’s history—something I easily would have walked past without ever knowing it was there. When it came to food, she made sure I experienced Osaka’s classics like takoyaki and kushiage, but the standout was maguro nakaochi—something I’d never heard of before and, without question, the best tuna I’ve ever had. Fay was an outstanding guide, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience as a solo traveler. She’s knowledgeable, flexible, easy to spend time with, and genuinely passionate about what she does. I would not hesitate to recommend Fay to anyone visiting Osaka who wants a truly personalized, memorable, and—most of all—fun experience."

"Simone was our guide for a 5 hour tour of Osaka. Our request to him was that we do not do anything touristy. (Except for the Castle). And he delivered on our request like we could not have expected. Took us to portions of the city that survived the bombings and explained the history of the city. Took us to a local market frequented only by locals. We bought produce from a booth and they were so excited to meet foreigners as they do not get any at that location. Lunch was at this family business he knew that we would not have been able to find on our own. Amazing food and atmosphere. Allowed us time to explore shops that we saw along the way. But more important, it was great conversation about Osaka, life in Japan, culture, entertainment, etc. He immersed you not only into the tour but Japan in general. His sense of humor made the tour that much more fun as well. If I could give more stars I would! Looking forward to our next trip so we can utilize him again.
