A special experience
"What a treat to have this special insight into Siena and the Palio on the day of the last trial! Stella brought the excitement and the drama of this event alive with her personal insights and historical storytelling. This really was a highlight to our time in Tuscany, and we loved having this enriched understanding as it buzzed all around us!"

Wonderful, personalized tour of Siena
"We did a wonderful evening tour of Siena with Stella - she was a fantastic guide, showing us through all of the “hidden gems” of Siena, including wine-tasting in an Etruscan tomb, and lucky moments like finding banner-holders practicing for the Palio marches. The evening tour was cooler and less crowded than middle of the day, which enabled us to enjoy the town more. Stella is clearly a local, with local knowledge and connections. She was interesting and animated so our teenage kids maintained interest, and it was a really fantastic evening. Highly recommended!"

Beautiful Tuscan farm visit
"We had a wonderful morning with Gaia. She kindly collected us from our Siena hotel & drove us (very skilfully) to Il Pino, a beautiful organic farm & vineyard near Poggibonsi in the Tuscan countryside. We enjoyed a short walking tour of the farm seeing olive trees, vineyards, sheep & cattle. An incredible panoramic view towards San Gimignano was a highlight. An early lunch of delicious farm produced & homemade olives, bread, delicious olive oil, cheeses & cured meats plus pasta & Pappa al Pomodoro was served to us by Mannino family members in there fabulous kitchen / dining loft. We tasted the wineries two wines & particularly enjoyed the Chianti. After coffee & a fond farewell Gaia drove us back through the stunning & picturesque countryside to Siena. Gaia was great company & very easy to talk to. The conversation flowed effortlessly. A fabulous trip. "

Sensational Siena
"Idania introduced us to her beautiful home city of Siena. She shared her extensive knowledge of its history & origins. Idania was passionate & proud about the cities horse race, the Palio & explained in detail its significance & importance. We loved hearing about the seventeen contrade & how ten horses are selected to compete in the actual races. She described the rivalry between each area & showed us the icons & flags. Idania was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Siena. She clearly explained & guided us through the magnificent Cathedral & the Basilica. Idania kindly shared her foody knowledge & we enjoyed a tasting of traditional snacks both sweet & savoury. She also gave us terrific restaurants recommendations & made a lunch reservation on our behalf. Thank you for a wonderful morning. We thoroughly enjoyed your company. Highly recommend. "

Hidden Gems - Gaia and Siena
"My wife and I met Gaia on our first full day in Siena in the hopes of seeing and understanding more about the history and culutre of Siena and Tuscany at large. Safe to say we could not have gotten any luckier in connecting with her. Her knowledge, candor, humor and love for this beautiful part of Italy is inspiring. Her willingness and patience to answer our many questions (trust me, there were a lot!) made us feel at home and allowed us to connect with the area in a way that would be impossible in any other setting. If you are in or planning a trip to Siena or Tuscany in general, do yourself a favor and connect with her. It will add a dimension to your travels that would be impossible to acheive on your own. :)"

Fantastic tour guide
"Stella was a few minutes late because her scooter broke down, but she made up for it by extending the end of the tour. Stella clearly loves her town of Siena, and was a wealth of historical knowledge. She pointed out all kinds of interesting things like markers for the different districts of Siena well explaining the rich history of the area. We went to the duomo and the cathedral. She took us to a wine shop where, while the new owner had been clearing out a back area, he discovered an Etruscan tomb. It is now used as part of his extensive wine cellar. Stella was able to take us all the way down into the tomb which was absolutely fascinating. She was great about answering questions, and moderated the pace of the tour to match our needs. Fantastic!"

Hire Annarita! Made the day special.
"Annarita is an amazing guide. Explained the importance of each stop, set a pace that was good for us, and shared many lessor known facts at each stop. She set up hard to get dinner reservations and hosted us at her partners winery/olive oil location the next day. She prepared us well for our next 5 days in Siena. "

Excellent day full of history & great food
"We loved spending the day with Anna and learning all about Siena’s important history while eating excellent food (of all varieties). We had two young kids with us and Anna was incredibly patient with our big and slow group!"
