"Stella was great, she explained the history of the city with its 17 Provinces and how they were divided. She told us the history of the horse race and why it is such an honor to win there.
We saw the city through the eyes of a true historian rather than just being a tourist.
She was flexible to our wishes while still being sure we saw the most important parts of the city.
I would definitely recommend her and use her again if we were to return. "

"So happy we booked the Palio tour with Maria Elena. We learned so much about the traditions of the town and the race. She also helped us get reservations with a great restaurant out of the craziness for race day. She gave us good suggestions for witnessing the blessing of one of the horses and made sure we knew where to go for our contrade dinner and where to view the race. She was knowledgeable and so personable. Loved it and her. "
