"We took a food tour with Sara, and had the best time. Sara is bright, fun, engaging, and her mastery of the English language is impressive: we understood every word that came out of her mouth! She told stories about Lucca and its history and mythology; pointed out major attractions, gave us recommendations for shopping and dining (all of which were quite good), and introduced us to many of the best foods of Lucca: the best gelato we have ever had, delicious chocolates, liquers, a wonderful gluten free flatbread, etc. It was a delightful way to get oriented to Lucca and to have some great foods on our first full day here. This is only our 4th food tour, but we now consider food tours to be the best way to spend part of the first day in any city that offers food tours. And this tour was probably the best of the 4 we have taken. I highly recommend With Locals tours, and very highly recommend Sara as the guide to use in Lucca!"

"Our tour of Livorno highlights with Francesca was absolutely wonderful. Francesca was welcoming from the outset and gave us a wonderful tour of her city. She made adjustments to our mobility needs easily and without fuss. She took us on a chronological history tour sharing interesting facts and sites going back through the ages. There was a wonderful balance of historical facts and anecdotes, all told with an infectious enthusiasm that drew you in wanting to know more. We finished our tour at the market where Francesca assisted us in finding a local eatery for lunch ensuring we were helped by the wait staff by speaking with them on our behalf (note to self - learn some Italian)! "Roberto ist ein sehr netter Gastgeber. Er hat uns einen Parkplatz empfohlen und uns in einem Restaurant einen Tisch gebucht, in welchem er uns dann auch zuverlässig abgeholt hat. Er ist ein sehr erfahrener Guide. Er hat in Pisa eine tolle Tour rund um die Kirche und den schiefen Turm gemacht. Dabei haben wir immer wieder kleine Stops gemacht, an welchem er uns interessante und nette Geschichten rund um Pisa erzählt hat. Weiterhin konnten wir kostenlos in die Kirche und bekamen von Ihm alle Fragen erklärt. Auch für unsere beiden Kids wurde es bei Ihm nie langeweilig. Ich kann Roberto nur empfehlen. Ein ganz netter Mensch und ein toller und kompetenter Guide!"
