He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and helped us understand the complex history of Naples and its people in a way that was both informative and enjoyable. Nino also went above and beyond—showing us where to find the best gelato (Gay Odin), taking us to the famous Sorbillo pizza, and even making reservations at a friend’s restaurant that turned out to be 5-star incredible. While we loved the history focus, we know his food tour would be just as amazing. Francesco, who is an archaeologist from Pompeii, made the sites come alive with his inside knowledge of the sites and his academic foundation in archaeology. "Roberto was excellent. He gave us a great tour not only of the food but of the city. He was very friendly and made us feel comfortable in Naples. He really went above and beyond for one in our group that has Celiac disease and can’t have gluten. At each food stop where there was no gluten free option he had a gluten free alternative with him that he gave her so she never sat there watching the rest of us eat. It was very much appreciated. We got to see Naples in a calm and safe way, despite a lot of the negative press that Naples gets for crime. We didn’t get a sense of that at all. "
