"We had booked with Marco to get an overview of Bologna, but we ended up do a little more on the food tour. We enjoyed the local market and visits to his favorite stores. Wish we could done more tasting of those places but again, it wasn't a food tour. We ended up buying some of the items anyway. He did recommend and reserve us an authentic Italian restaurant which we really enjoyed. "

"We had an amazing food tour with Giuseppe. We stopped at outstanding local food stops that he had a personal love for. The stops were not touristy. Great appetizers with olives and artichokes, various pastas, meat platter, parmigiana reggiano, dessert, gelato, espresso, Prosecco and wine. He has many stories to tell. We would highly recommend Giuseppe to all. "

"We met Riccardo at the Bologna train station (we were day tripping from Florence) and he led us on a fast-paced, three hour walk exploring the architecture, art, and history of Bologna. Three hours was not nearly enough time, but we saw a lot and learned tons. Riccardo knows art and architecture and explained the numerous styles, periods, churches, colonnades, towers, and piazzas. He was able to answer every question we asked -- and then some . He is also flexible. When we were discussing a certain sundial and I asked very specific questions, he said, "Oh, we could have done a science tour"; he could have and would have altered his usual itinerary had we asked (actually he did; a major piazza was recently closed because one of the medieval towers is tilting). He has the knowledge, the attitude, and the flexibility one hopes to find in a private guide. I can recommend him without qualification."

"Luca did a great job. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Bologna and spoke very good English. He showed us some of the key sights of the city and sent me a list of his favorite restaurants and historical landmarks. He explained the towers in the city, the arches, the tourist train to the mountain church, the many churches in the city and the bolognese food. Based on his list of food recommendations we ate some delicious meals and had the best gelato in the city. I would highly recommend Luca as a tour guide to anyone and would definitely use him again."

"Had a great tour with Luca, although I had visited Bologna before I now realise how little I knew about the city , this tour was perfect the tastings were all wonderful and Luca was just great and arranged separate tastings for our non meat eater in the group . Would highly recommend and especially good to do at the start of your holiday as it really helps with orientation.
