"Ayshe was so vibrant and friendly. She taught us so much of the local history and culture and my family and I spent a lovely afternoon walking through the streets of Istanbul in Sultan Ahmed and the Grand Bazaar hearing the stories and history. "Our first impression with Dilek was positive. She personified our experience by focussing on what we wanted to gain from the tour. Her knowledge of history of this historical site is detailed and impressive. In addition we gained local knowledge for example how to use public transportation, and food recommendations. Superb walking tour with Oǧuz
"Our walking tour with Oǧuz was really excellent. My wife, daughter(11) and I are from Dublin and were a bit skeptical about using withlocals and paying up front for a private tour. But after some research about withlocals we thought it would be worth a shout. We booked Oguz just 1 day before the tour and left him a message about our interest in history and a few things we would really like to see. Next morning we met up with Oguz. His English was perfect, he's a sound guy, extremely knowledgeable and a true gent. Oguz gave us 3 hours, making all our interactions interesting and keeping us curious. Even our 11 year old was not bored as he us took around a few key areas of Istanbul. You felt safe with him as we navigated the Grand and Spice Bazaars. It's not that important but it's still worth pointing out, that nothing was pushed on us to visit or to purchase, we really valued that. Oguz gave us some recommendations based on his own favourites for good coffee, places to eat and drink and hammams. We're glad we did this tour on our first day in Istanbul as it gave us some reference points and a bit of street knowledge to keep us in good form for the rest of our holiday in Istanbul."
