"We had a wonderful tour with Joao in Lisbon. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and truly wanted to make the tour what we wanted in terms of places visited, information presented, etc. We found him to be interesting and engaging and allowed us to set the pace and tone as the tour progressed. For example, if he presented a topic that we were particularly interested, we spent additional time exploring that topic. We had one full day to explore Lisbon and spent the morning with him getting a good overview of the city before exploring later on our own. Highly recommend Joao for any visitor. "

"Angelo was an outstanding guide and played a huge role in making our time in Lisbon memorable. One of the most important things for me when visiting a new city is understanding its history, and Angelo was incredibly knowledgeable about Lisbon and Portugal’s past. He shared fascinating stories and historical context that brought the city to life. I was traveling with my three teenage daughters, who are not nearly as interested in history as I am. Angelo quickly recognized this and expertly adapted the tour to keep them engaged. One highlight was a chocolate tasting experience that he incorporated into the day—they absolutely loved it. Before the tour, I was a little concerned about spending hours walking up and down Lisbon’s hills in the summer heat. Angelo was very thoughtful about this, making sure we stayed in the shade whenever possible and using his local knowledge to take advantage of elevators and other shortcuts around the city. The true test of whether my daughters were paying attention came afterward when I quizzed them on what Angelo had taught us. To my surprise, they got every answer correct! Angelo managed to make the history interesting, accessible, and memorable, even for teenagers. Beyond history, Angelo is also extremely knowledgeable about Lisbon’s food scene. He recommended a Portuguese restaurant that we visited the following night, and it turned out to be one of the best meals of our trip. If you’re visiting Lisbon, I highly recommend booking a tour with Angelo. He is friendly, knowledgeable, adaptable, and genuinely invested in giving his guests a great experience. "Our guide Angelo was superb. He gave a true locals insight into Lisbon. He brought its history to life and we saw parts of the city we would not have found on our own. His restaurant recommendations were perfect and the next time we return we need to do a food and wine tour with him. We tasted the best pastel de nata and he introduced us to cherry liquor. "Sofia was a wonderful guide!! She was so knowledgeable and full of interesting conversation about the walk, local history and landscape and plants. I really enjoyed our time together! I love that she took me to some special spots that were a little off the beaten path. This was truly a magical forest hike and the castle was super interesting, with stunning views, it was a really memorable spot to go. Sofia was very patient with letting me stop to take lots of photos along the way, pointing out interesting details and photogenic spots away from crowds- she's got a fantastic eye for good photography! Sofia is very gracious and experienced in hospitality, she felt like a knowledgeable professional, historian, naturalist, and a new friend all at the same time. "
