"We often enjoy a tastings tour when we go to a new city, and one of the things we love is how the hosts will personalize the tour based tastes and dietary restrictions. But the best part often ends up not being the actual tastings (which were great!) but the connection with the host. We were so lucky to connect with Mara, who not only teaches food and culture classes, but is exceptionally kind and warm and easy to talk to. Within about a minute, you feel like you’ve known Mara for years. And not only did she give us great information on the food and cultural piece, she gave us fantastic recommendation’s about other things we needed to be sure to check out. "We took two tours with Martina in Florence, a city tour with a scavenger hunt and then Accademia and Uffizi Galleries, and she was truly phenomenal. "What a fantastic day we had with Fabio! If you are questioning whether you should do this or not…please just do it. My family of 4 was picked up right at the door of our Air BnB in the middle of Florence. Taken straight to his comfortable and spotless spacious van (plenty of space for 6-7 people) and taken out of the city for the day. Fabio is a laidback, safe driver and a wonderful historian and resource for all things Florence and Tuscany. He created a day that brought us to a beautiful winery with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Had an amazing experience there with a tour, tasting, lunch and conversation. Then off to San Gimignano for a stroll on our own in the medieval town with plenty to see and enjoy there as well. We met up at the time and place we had been instructed to and leisurely taken back into the city with a whole new perspective on the region and Florence. Being with Fabio was like being around an old friend that you hadn’t seen in years. It was a great day! He will help make your day uniquely yours…just ask! "
