Ze liet ons de avondmarkt zien met allemaal eetkraampjes. We maakte kennis met verschillende gerechten die we nog nooit geproefd hadden. Alles werd vers bereid voor ons en was heerlijk. Whichever tour you want to book, or if you want to do something / see something not included in any described tour I am confident Yula could make it happen. It was fascinating to hear about the history of Jogja, it is so much better receiving this information from a well informed local, who can give you the facts and also her own perspective, rather than just reading about it online. It wasn’t just the main sites on our itinerary that made our tour special, it was the smaller places and interactions we stumbled upon along the way. Yula was an expert at breaking the ice and introducing us to locals who we encountered doing interesting things (crafting in workshops / selling produce etc). We learned so much by speaking to them via Yula and really felt like we could connect with locals in a way we could never do on our own. I think the best thing about the tour was I felt much more confident in Jogja after spending time with Yula. She helped break the ice I sometimes feel in a new place. Highly recommend. You will finish a tour with Yula feeling well informed and more confident. "

Even though it was only three hours, we got to experience lots of varieties of food. "Agung made our day wonderful. Not just because he was so knowledgeable and such a good driver but because he has a lovely personality and was just delightful company. He proved a very full day without once making us feel rushed, his explanations added a layer of enjoyment and understanding and he was always very aware of our needs and accommodating to them. He took us to all our requested destinations but casually suggested an additional one at the end that we didn’t even know about ( the UNESCO protected Jatiluwih rice terraces) which were just beautiful and I’m so glad we saw them. In fact, we enjoyed the experience so much that when he offered to take us back to the airport the following day with an added half-day tour of Denpasar and Nusa Dua Beach, it was an easy yes.
