"I had wanted to see a side of Singapore past all the glitz and glamour of downtown, to understand what life is like for most of its citizens. John was highly knowledgeable and very patient with all of my questions, ranging from the housing schemes and development practices to the water supply, from the schooling system to the culinary contributions of the various Chinese ethnic groups present in Singapore (and their history), and beyond. The pacing was also just right, moving efficiently through each area with ample time for explanations even with plenty of photo stops. And of course, you get to see some corners of Singapore that may well disappear or at least change drastically within our lifetime. I highly recommend both this tour and John as a guide!"
