"Emanuele is a wonderful guide. We were in Rome for five nights, and we spent time with him for three of them. He showed us marvelous gems that were not crawling with tourists, and is super knowledgeable about Roman history and art. He planned special surprises for our 15 year old son -- including the Capuchin Crypt, a super-creepy crypt decorated with thousands of bones that is definitely worth a visit. He showed us a Michelangelo sculpture of Moses that is an absolute masterpiece in the Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli, and countless other surprises. He took great care of my 80 year old mother-in-law and made sure that she was not getting too tired on the walks. For part of the tour, we drove around Rome in his car, and we would park and get out and walk a bit, which was a great way to really experience more of the city. Highly recommended."

"Matteo is a lovely person who does a really cool tour of Calcata, a town outside of Rome that was abandoned and then reinhabited by creative types years later. We stopped at a beautiful lake en route, and saw swans and some pretty views. The same in Calcata, and he was kind enough to indulge my obsession with all of the local cats hanging out. I'm also partially disabled, and he was sympathetic to that, offering to help me up/down some steep stairs. I do wish I had gotten a bit more history of Calcata's past, though, which is why I didn't give him 10 hearts. Matteo is a 10-heart human, and with a little more history, this would be a 10-heart tour."

"We really enjoyed our day in the small villages of Anguillara Sabazia and Calcata Vecchia after several days in busy Rome. Matteo was an excellent guide and very accommodating. He picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off in the Jewish Ghetto per our request. I highly recommend this day tour."

"We had a great day traveling to Calcata with Matteo. We had interesting conversations with Matteo about life in Rome and Italy and got along great with Matteo. We were disappointed that the town was pretty closed down the day we went on the tour. I would have moved around our tour schedule had we known this in advance, and we feel that our guide should have known this and perhaps advised us in advance since we booked months in advance. Despite this we had a great day with Matteo but a less flexible client may have been upset and disappointed to not see Calcata in full swing. We made the best of it and Matteo did great with finding alternative spots for lunch, as well as giving us choices to do lunch back in Rome so we give high marks for being fluid! Thank you!"

We found him super knowledgeable, kind and humble in his approach.
