She has expertise in both history and art and brought the palace to life in a way that felt less like a tour and more like storytelling. She was able to weave together the political history, the personalities of the French court, and the artistic details of the paintings, furniture, and architecture. Fe’s knowledge was extensive, but what really stood out was how she made it all feel personal and engaging rather than a list of facts and dates. "Lucien was fantastic. The weather was against us being near 40c. Lucien showed us multiple churches including Notre Dame. He helped us when we were lost trying to find him at the start of the day. Lucien was full of fantastic & inspiring information about what we visited. He made sure we were in the shade as much as possible letting us rest when we needed. We stopped for a break at one of the local restaurants for cold drinks & water. Also Lucien showed us a place for lunch after the tour with him was finished. "After seeing the palace the day before, Fe met us Oct 8 to tour the gardens, Trianon, Petit Trianon, and Hamlet. She came extra early to talk to the golf cart people about needing one and setting that up so our wait would be shorter when we were ready for them it — very thoughtful and kind. She showed us all around the grounds, explained the details of all the significant statues and fountains, made sure we saw the most important bosquets, each one such a different theme - incredible. We even got to see one of the musical fountains in action and learn how they had to pump the water by hand long ago right when the King was approaching. It was so interesting to see how royalty lived when they were away from the formality of court. We would not have seen half as much in twice the time without Fe. And she has such a peppy, fun personality. She is great!! We are looking forward to our Louvre tour with her next week."

"We toured the interior of Versailles with Fe on Oct 7. A 10++! She met us at the Queen’s Gate just outside our hotel and walked us up to the main entrance so we could get the whole Ta-Da first impression. She explained about so many things we might not have noticed or realized the significance of from side buildings to statues and artwork in the palace — even pointing out the beveled edges on the original Hall of Mirrors. So much personality and enthusiasm for all of it and a wealth of knowledge about people, dates, historical events and significance. We learned so much without feeling bombarded with facts. We are so glad we toured this incredible place with her. It was expensive but so worth it to be just the 3 of us, easily conversing and going at our own pace."
