Saigon Street Food Tour: the 10 Tastings

We loved our food tour with Elise. She was very friendly and easy to talk to. She took us all throughout Ho Chi Minh city. We started at the more touristy spots, but as the tour went on, she really took us off the beaten path and we went to some really local food spots that I would have never walked into otherwise. We were the only Americans at most of the food places Elise took us too (which I find to be a plus, because if the restaurant is full of locals, you know its good). Also, Elise didn't stick to the script and took us around to places she thought we might like. For example, we were eating some street food in the park when Elise and my girlfriend struck up a conversation about skin care. This conversation led to Elise taking us to a very cool skin care store that was far away from the touristy spots. From there, we told Elise we wanted to buy some spices and teas to bring back to the States and Elise took us to her neighborhood supermarket where we got to see how the locals shop. It was awesome. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Saigon Street Food Tour: the 10 Tastings

Elise brought us to try a good variety of local food and drinks and always had some good stories to share! She also went way beyond the tour and accompanied us to shop at a local supermarket with some excellent recommendations. We had a great time. Thank you so much Elise!

A customized trip with Tong

Tong from start to finish took the time to personalize everything for our tour! He was very genuine and knowledgeable about the culture, history, and food that Saigon has to offer. We had an amazing day and it was the highlight of our trip for sure. We saw everything from cultural landmarks to “hidden gem” street markets. Highly recommend him as a tour guide if you’re looking to truly see and learn about Saigon from a local’a perspective!
