Michael Tuangtip

Bangkok's Must-Do Highlights Tour with a Local

Tuangtip did a fabulous job as a tour guide for me in Bangkok. I chose a tour that included the flower market, Wat Arun, and a smaller temple. From the start Tuangtip set the tone with her friendly smile and her concern that I had a good tour. She was generous in everything she did, including buying me a small snack at a food stand that I had asked her about. She was able to answer every question I had about Bangkok and its culture and she clearly liked her job as tour guide. I met Tuangtip at a central location and we walked to the flower market. We took a tuk-tuk to Wat Arun and were early enough to avoid the heaviest crowds. We then visited a smaller, more neighborhood-oriented temple and Tuangtip was able to show me how the Bangkok natives use their temples. It was the highlight of the tour. We ended the tour with lunch, and Tuangtip recommended something that I would never have gotten on my own -- and it was great! After our tour Tuangtip shared pictures she had taken of me in the various places we visited -- an extra bonus I really appreciated.

Do yourself a favor and book a tour with one of the local guides, like Tuangtip. It was so, so much better than an earlier tour I took with a different organization that basically just got you places.
