Airport in Phuket, Thailand

Phuket International Airport is the second largest airport in Thailand, located in the north of the country. The airport is situated about 32 kilometer away from Phuket City. There are frequent flight to Bangkok, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Getting to Phuket Town from the airport will cost you around 600 Baht. If you carry a lot of luggage with you, you have to take in account that maybe everything won't fit in the car. If this is the case, you can also consider a transfer by minibus. However, some hotels offer airport transfer. So make sure you check whether your hotel offers this facility as well before your arrival in Phuket.

Travel from airport to Phuket, Thailand

  • Municipal A/C airport service bus, which costs 85 baht and takes one hour. In the afternoon, the bus is often delayed.
  • Minibus services, which cots 100 baht to go to Phuket Town. They only leave when the bus is full.
  • Metered (yellow) taxis, which costs around 600 baht. You can find them on the right side of the airport building.
