Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport- Porto Airport

The major destination for flights to and from the city is Porto’s airport, Francisco Sá Carneiro. It was ranked Europe’s top three airports numerous times and is an efficient way to get to other parts of Portugal by plane or to the rest of the world. The modern layout of the airport is very well-organized and signs will help you find out where you’re supposed to be. The building is made up of three floors, with the arrivals hall on the ground floor and departures on the third. Hungry? You can grab lunch or dinner at the many restaurants available here, including a traditional Portuguese one among others. WiFi is available throughout the airport as well and unlike some, this Porto airport gives you free unlimited access so you can stay occupied while you wait to board the plane! This airport is also extremely convenient for either those that have leftover money to exchange or those who just arrived! The airport is equipped with a full service bank, ATMS and a Currency Exchange in the arrival halls. For those that completely forgot to buy a souvenir for their special someone, there are plenty of opportunities to still do some serious shopping at the Duty-free shops. Expect book shops and clothing boutiques as well.

Make Your Own Traditional Porto Tile

We had a really great time - a highlight of our trip! Theresa gave some great background on tiles in Porto that form such a big part of the city and just the right amount of direction. I would highly recommend this experience!

Cool Street Art Tour in Porto

We enjoyed the tour with Joao very much! He knows the Street-Art Scene in Porto very well and explained us a lot about the artists, their styles and the context of the work. We can highly recommend a tour with him, it will open your eyes for the small pieces of artwork along your way and improve your understanding of some of the better-known pieces. It was great to explore so many different pieces of art work in a variety of urban setting on the tour around the city center. João made it a perfect walk, thank you!
