What to do in Lisbon at night

  • Enjoy a typical homemade meal

Start your evening on the best note, enjoying a homemade meal prepared by a local. Taste authentic Portuguese food, from “Bacalhau à Braz” to “Carne de Porco Alentejana”, and “Arroz Doce” or “Leite Créme” for dessert. Or enjoy a fusion inspired menu made with fresh local ingredients.

Your local host will give you great insights about Portuguese cuisine and wine or about dishes from around the world. You can even learn how to cook Portuguese or international food. If you’re wondering what to do in Lisbon at night, this is a truly delicious and educative experience!

  • Have dinner to the sound of Fado

If you’d rather eat out, visiting a Fado House is a must in your list of what to do in Lisbon at night! Choose one of the traditional Fado Houses located in the picturesque district of Alfama. Here traditional Portuguese food is served to the sound of the not less authentic Fado music.

Fado was born in Lisbon around the 19th century. Today it is the city song and the most famous and authentic Portuguese music genre. Ask your local guide all about the history of Fado and Fado Houses for a complete experience.

  • Explore Bairro Alto and Cais do Sodré

After dinner head to Bairro Alto and Cais do Sodré and take a bar crawl with a local. This is the best way to get to know the top and most lively bars and clubs when you’re new in town. It’s also one of our favorite options of what to do in Lisbon at night.

Right in the city center, Bairro Alto and Cais do Sodré are two of the most popular nightlife areas in Lisbon, frequented by locals and travelers alike. Your private guide will show you the natives’ most beloved places and give you the greatest local partying experience, as if you were born in Lisbon!

90 Minutes Kickstart Tour of Lisbon

The 90-minute kickstart tour with Camila was the perfect way to get started on our trip to Lisbon. We walked all over the historical center and Camila pointed out many historical and cultural things along the way. It was a perfect way to get acquainted with Lisbon and all it has to offer. Camilla gave us tons of great recccomondations for the rest of our trip and it was lovely to spend the morning with her. Thanks, Camila!

Lisbon's Favourites and Hidden Gems Tour

We had the best experience on our Lisbon tour with Jorge.
Visiting Lisbon with a large group it was a challenge to find the right activities. Jorge and colleague Sylvia turned the afternoon into a moment to remember. Thank you both we have had a super time.

  • Dance until morning

After your bar crawl, end the evening in a cool club and dance with the locals. This means until morning. Lux Frágil, Incógnito, Dock’s Club and Europa are among the most fashionable Lisbon nightclubs. but there are many more to choose from.

Your local host can show you the best places in town, according to your musical preferences. Rock, house, techno, drum and bass, pop, latin rhythms or African music, there’s a place for you in the eclectic Lisbon movida... as long as you can keep pace with the natives!

  • Taste the amazing Portuguese wine

A mandatory answer for the question of what to do in Lisbon at night is, without a doubt, wine tasting with a local.
You can’t visit the Portuguese capital without trying the amazing Portuguese wine, from fortified wines (Port and Madeira), to the tart, light Vinho Verde, and the reds from Douro and Dão.

And what better way to do that than with a native, who can tell you everything about the great variety of Portuguese wines and introduce you to the best ones. You can even buy a bottle or two to take home with you as a souvenir.
