Every year, Lisbon’s calendar is jam-packed with music festivals, cultural events, and various religious festivals. Most of the city’s main festivals are held during the summer, but music festivals, film-related events, and other festivities are also scattered throughout the year.

If you’re visiting Lisbon to attend one of these festivals, it’s always better to have a local guide lead you to the best bars with good music, and help you experience how locals party on the streets of Lisbon, and point you to the best spots around the city where you can watch awesome fireworks.

Off the Beaten Track with a Local in Lisbon

We had a great time with Carlos as our guide through Lisbon. He could tell us a lot about the city and it's history. It was our first day in Lisbon so it was a great introduction for us. We really enjoyed the talks and the coffee with the pasteis de nata. Carlos took more than enough time to show us around and point out the best spots in the city. We said goodbye at one of his favorite restaurants where we enjoyed a lunch with Caldo Verde, olives, cheese and bread that he had recommended to us. Carlos is an excellent guide and we would recommend him to anyone!

A customized trip with Marco & Ricardo

Since I was a lone traveler, it was just Marco who came to take me around. I had a personalized tour with Marco that included Lisbon, Belem, Cascais, Sintra, Estoril, and Cabo de Roca. The list looks a lot but Marco even has time for a few more surprises! I love how he gave me several perspectives of the city - from several viewpoints to back alleys and local life. He knows I love the ocean, so he took me swimming and showed me a second beach with a fabulous view! We had several drinking and eating breaks, tasting different Portuguese cuisine. His motorbike was a great way to go around hilly Lisbon! I can see how I won't survive the day if I walked all those places we went to! All in all, the day was superb and I couldn't recommend Marco enough!
