Holidays in Cebu, Philippines

Cebuano's love holidays. For most, holiday means no work and a time to either relax at home or travel. Island destinations such as Bantayan and Malapascua or beaches in general are mostly crowded during holidays. Cebuanos love the sea and go there for any possible occasion: from christening to graduation. April and May—the summer months in the Philippines—have the liveliest crowd, the bluest sky, the clearest sky, and the hottest temperature. From a local perspective, it is best to travel from December to May to avoid the rainy and typhoon months that start as early as June. So if you are the person who does not like the rain to possibly interfere your travel plans, plan your trips on the sun-loving months.
Government-run museums and establishments are usually closed during major holidays. The beaches, the falls, the pools are the busiest during these times.
