    If you want to go from Kathmandu to Bhaktapur, you have to take the Arniko Raj Marg street, this street is also called the Chinese Way of Friendship because the Chinese gave financial support for building this street.

  • By bus
    You can find busses that go from Kathmandu to Bhaktapur at the Gongabu, the northside of the Ring Road in Kathmandu. These takes about 40-60 minutes and will drop you off just outside the town. From this place it is easy to find a bus back to Kathmandu or to Patan. The prices will be around 35 NRS. But be prepared, these busses are very full and uncomfortable!

  • By taxi
    You can also go by taxi to Bhaktapur. The taxi from Thamel to Bhaktapur will cost approximately 800-1000 NRS for 16 km.
