Private Driver in and around KL

Peter picked us up from our airport hotel as arranged. He had a good knowledge of the city and gave us an insight into all the attractions he took us to. We had Malaysian food for lunch as recommended by him. Although we only had a day Peter managed to fit in so much and we did not feel rushed. We would highly recommend Peter to anyone wanting a day tour and will certainly contact him if we are in Kuala Lumpur again.

Private Driver in and around KL

Peter was our guide during a 12hr lay over in Kuala Lumpur. We traveled through Asia for a month and this was by far the best experience we had with a tour guide!! Our plane was late and then we were delayed in immigration. Peter was so awesome, he was waiting at the gate for us with a sign. It was so nice we didn't have to search for him and he was able to guide us through the airport. Peter adjusted our itinerary, after our delay, and took us to some local places we would not have otherwise been able to see. Peter took us to all of the places on our agreed upon itinerary and kept us on a schedule where we had plenty of leisure time at each destination, while still making it back to the airport for our flight. His timing was perfect dropping us back at the airport. Peter went the extra mile all day long and was super accommodating. I can't say enough good things about him and the service he provides!!

  • Join an “open house”

An open house, or rumah terbuka in Malay, is a Malaysian concept where during festivities houses are open to families and friends and strangers to partake of meals and celebrations. Your local guide will be able to coordinate this for you. Here’s a pro tip: ask your local guide to also set you up with a local costume that matches the festivity.
What if you are visiting Kuala Lumpur on a regular day? Well, your local guide will be able to coordinate such an event with a Malaysian family. This is the best way to get to know the country and its culture.

  • Jungle trekking tree to tree

Malaysia is home to some of the world’s oldest forests. Getting to know its unique flora and fauna is must and you don’t have to go far to do this. Ask your local guide about Skytrex Adventures. It’s a tree-to-tree trek high up above the ground.
There are a few ways you can move around – glide, dangle, swing, or ‘fly’ – and these courses are offered to enthusiasts of any skill level. All you need is plenty of gusto and not be afraid of heights. It’s an unusual thing to do in Kuala Lumpur but it’s safe and supervised and hands down the best way to get to know the country’s green lung. Just remember to stay hydrated – Malaysia is humid after all.

  • Eat unique local food

Malaysia is a food haven. You’ll find all types of delicacies everywhere, from the street to the shopping mall. As it is a melting pot of cultures, various cuisine are on offer. But it also home to some unique and exotic ingredients.
Your local guide will show you what these are and will bring you around for a food tour of sorts. Some dishes or ingredients may not appeal to your taste buds, some would even turn you off by their pungent aromas, but they are must-tries. Some recommendations are sup torpedo or bull’s penis soup, the durian and stinky tofu. Yep, one of the unusual things to do in Kuala Lumpur and you don’t need to travel far to get these.
