is located in the south of Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia. The place is prominent for Bali’s upscale resort area and is a beach-side town. In general terms, it is rather more expensive than Kuta but cheaper than Seminyak. Sanur tends to appeal most to middle-aged and older families, especially Europeans. A few things you to do in Sanur: International Kite Festival: this festival takes place every July. Teams from different are competing against each other with giant traditional Balinese kites. But July is not the only month when you can see kites. You can see them from June through August. Mangrove Information Center: a 600 hectare mangrove forest in the south of Sanur. There are two boardwalks you can walk on in this amazing forest. Serangan Island Turtle Conservation Centrer: Bali used to trade turtle meat, but it got banned. Now, you can visit the turtle center to learn about the way the animals are being protected now.

  • Watersports To challenge yourself and intrigue the adrenaline rush, travelers could try one or more of the many watersports on offer at Sanur Beach. Options lie around Kitesurfing, windsurfing, surfing or paragliding. For those less active, hire a banana boat and hit the calm waters. Furthermore, the surfing here is not great by Bali standards but there are reasonable breaks about 1KM offshore during the northwest wind season (about October to March). In that period you will have no problem locating the breaks – just follow the locals.
