Travel options in Athens

Traveling to any kind of destination can be an adventure considering the means of transport you choose to travel with. Most of the European destinations are accessible with an array of ways such as car, train and airplane. The way that will save you both time and energy to travel to Athens is by air. Athens' International Airport facilitates many flights from and towards several major European cities.

Greece's urban structure is characterized by a harmonic combination of environmental oasis such as small parks every here and there and urban elements such as roads and buildings. Most of the times parks and recreational establishments are located in the suburbs of the cities. The same infrastructural principle applies for Athens itself. The city is an urban paradise with architectural treasures around every corner with some "greener" parts inside or around the city. Visiting the historical monuments among the nature and parks should definitely be on your list of things to do in Athens.

As visitors you have several options to travel in Athens. The most popular is the Metro. Not only is it a great way to avoid getting stuck in traffic, but some of its stops have more than just thousands of people to show. Specifically, a number of findings that were excavated during the construction of the Metro are displayed at the Acropolis stop.

Another ever-growing mean of transportation to travel in Athens is the bike. Over the last years, several cycling road lines have been included in the city's urban foundation. Both locals and visitors can use them to enjoy another view of Athens and sink in unique images.

Athenians' lifestyle is actually quite stressful. This is why they mostly use the public means of transportation to travel in Athens in an attempt to save precious time and avoid traffic jams. They seem to prefer Metro the most due to its increased safety and timely accuracy. To conclude, Athens is a bustling and lively city with a lot of potential for its visitors. As a result, you should definitely have someone to share this Athens' travel with rather than experiencing its amazing perks alone.

Family's Favorite Greek Cooking Class

Amazing. Cooking and eating delicious, and aroma rich feta cheese pie and Greek Donuts with Julia and her adorable husband was the best experience of our trip. Even though it was a "family dinner" and my friend and I were able to sport some awesome kid chef caps. The evening was filled with fun, chatting, and Julia and her husband lighting up the night with their stories and reminiscings of Greece. Amazing experience in Greece and I HIGHLY recommend

Julia's Authentic Greek Lunch

We experienced a comfortable and delicious home-cooked meal at Julia's home. We ate on the patio, which was beautiful. She and her husband were very hospitable. The food and conversation were excellent.
