Seeing the city from above is one of the best things to do in Berlin with children — and there are a few options — the TV Tower or the Reichstag Dome are good choices — but don’t forget the Victory Column (Siegessäule). You can climb the tower (all 285 steps) and enjoy a magnificent view over Berlin. The column has a long history and was constructed in 1873 to remember Prussia winning various wars. The Victory Column was (luckily) moved by the Nazis from its original spot (near the Reichstag) which likely saved it from destruction during the Second World War, and today you’ll find it in Berlin’s Tiergarten park.
Things to do in Berlin with children
Berlin’s known as a city of culture that’s full of amazing museums and galleries. The Natural History Museum with its dinosaurs is one place kids are sure to love. Unfortunately, though on the whole, kids and museums don’t mix quite so well, so here’s a few different things to do in Berlin with children.

Top city tours in Berlin
This is what guests are saying about our hosts
A customized trip with Elisabetta & Uygur
We totally enjoyed our private guided tour with Elisabetta and Uygur ( and their adorable and very well behaved 1 year old ). We need to customize our tour because one member of our group could not do the full length of the walking tour. We Elisabetta was wonderful and flexible to work with setting this up. She was responsive to our needs and easy to communicate with in planning, and stayed in communication until the tour. The tour was very interesting and she and her husband were very informative about street art, honest when they didn’t know the answer and fun to be with. It was easy to joke with them and they are very pleasant tour guides. We truly enjoyed the tour so thank you
A customized trip with Miha
We had an amazing time with Miha who showed us all the best parts of Berlin with particular focus on the Cold War and WW2.
Not only is Miha a very nice guy, he is also extremely knowledgeable about the city and its history. He was always smiling but you can see that he is passionate about the subject and that makes you really sit up and listen to what he has to say.
We went on bikes which is a great way to see lots of the city in 4 hours. He even recommended us two great places for lunch for later in our stay both of which were excellent!
Thanks again Miha, we will be recommending you to our friends for sure.
Third Reich Tour with a local
Eros was a friendly guide and clearly very knowledgeable about Berlin’s history during WW2.
We would highly recommend Eros to anyone interested in learning more about the 3rd Reich historical landmarks in Berlin.
