"This is was our second tour with Mark and it was another 10 out of 10. Last week we took in the sights and history of Edinburgh, this week four of us took in the Tastes of Edinburgh. Mark has a way of bringing history alive. He is passionate about his home town and country. We learned so much about true Scottish foods, their origins and why they came to be. There was a lot of food, great variety, and the pace was good. We enjoyed ourselves very much. These tours will be some of our best memories of our Scotland vacation. "

His knowledge of local and regional history is very evident when he is telling stories while pointing out pertinent locations on the walking tour. He has a great sense of humor with a little bit of entertaining self deprecation that puts you at ease. He’s able to quickly pivot and change topics in response to questions or a new location. He also provided great recommendations for additional things to do and see, including restaurants and pubs.
