"We had an amazing time with Tanivet! She was excellent at communicating with us from the moment we made our booking, and once we met in person, she made us feel welcome right away. Our first stop was Monte Albán. Tanivet’s deep knowledge and fascinating stories made for a far richer experience than if we had visited on our own. Afterward, we visited the town of Arrazola, where we met the talented artisans behind the beautiful alebrijes. At our request, Tanivet took us to a wonderful family-owned restaurant for lunch. The spread of traditional dishes—including moles, memelas, sopas, postres and fresh tortillas—was absolutely delicious and did not disappoint! Our tour concluded at a mezcal distillery, which was the perfect way to end the day. Tanivet took such great care of us throughout the entire trip. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Oaxaca! "

"Our tour of Monte Alban with Tanivet was wonderful! She recommended that we start early to avoid the crowds and the heat which was a great idea! Her knowledge and passion for Monte Alban was palpable! She adjusted our itinerary to also include a beautiful convent on the outskirts of Oaxaca. Tanivet was easy to talk to and provided insight on historical, social and cultural levels, and had a great sense of humor. Definitely a 10/10! Would recommend Tanivet to anyone! "

"Spent an amazing day with Sofia touring beautiful natural scapes, visiting a one of a kind Sunday market, visiting an incredible local mezcal distillery and spending time in an artisan village. Oh, and did I mention the incredible tree that we saw? Largest (squat”ish”) tree in the world. Loved visiting the Oaxaca area with Sofia and glimpsing the culture through her eyes. Amazing day! "We spent three days with Tanivet. First day was her Oaxaca Gems Tours and the next two days were the Artisan Wonders of Oaxaca. She was absolutely terrific. Knowledgeable, personable and a great sense of humor. Just a lot of fun to be with. While the Gems Tour was great her Artisans tour is extraordinary. Oaxaca is famous for its arts and crafts but you won’t even begin to appreciate this unless you take the Artisans tour. The true artisan families in weaving, pottery, alibrijes ( famous carved Oaxacan animal figures), and jewelry are found outside of central Oaxaco. If you appreciate the beauty and skill of true hand made crafts you must take the Artisans tour. Tanivet will take you to only the finest and most skilled artisans in their crafts. It was the absolute highlight of the time we spent in Oaxaco. DO NOT MISS IT!! Really— DO NOT MISS IT!"

"Tank vet was a wonderful guide and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour with her. Everything was very professional and enjoyable. We are a couple traveling with our 10 month old daughter. Tanivet was very patient and welcoming. She even held the baby a few times so that we could enjoy some views of monte alban and mezcal tasting unencumbered. We loved this tour!"

We were even able to personalize the tour and add a quick stop to the Tule tree, which was the perfect way to see it all in one day! "Paula and I had a wonderful day with Rolando. Rolando grew up in Oaxaca and loves his home there. He is enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and goes out of his way to tailor the day to our needs. Our trip began at Monte D'alban. We learned details of Meso American history and culture and agriculture, astronomy, and calendar. We were fascinated by his discussion of Zapotec world and how it differs from Aztec, Mixteca, and Mayan cultures. "

"We had an excellent tour to Mt. Alban with Tanivet and Enrique. They both made us feel more like friends than clients. Tanivet is extremely knowledgeable about Monte Alban, and we were very impressed by the complexity of the magnificent ruins. We also visited the workshop of Angelico Jimenez in San Antonio Arrazola to see how the fantastical animals are made. Even our lunch stop was a great choice! We visited clay artisans in their workshops, enjoyed a delicious meal at a local restaurant, and even got to see the amazing Tule Tree, which was a delightful surprise we hadn’t expected. "We had an enlightened tour of Monte Albán and the workshop of Mr. Jimenez. Lunching outside with the music of a Mexican performer made the day special. As the weather started to look like rain was coming we opted not to do the Mezcal tasting. Tanivet was extremely knowledgeable and lovely guide."
