"We had an amazing street food tour in Penang with Mohd! He was incredibly friendly, enthusiastic and knew so much about the local food, culture and history of Penang. We tried lots of different local dishes at places we probably would never have found ourselves. Mohd explained the story behind the food and made the whole tour feel very relaxed and personal. It was a great way to experience the real Penang and its food culture. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Malaysia. Highly recommend booking a tour with Mohd! Thank you for the great experience!"

"We had a 3 hours tour this morning with my 2 teenagers boys. Joo Bee has been a great guide, with a very good communication before the tour (and flexibility to adapt our personal constraints), and of course during the tour. She can adapt perfectly to a family with teenagers, having a reasonable dose of patience, using a good sense of humour. She has been telling us interesting stories for everyone, both historically & culturally and calling out local restaurants, shops, markets… while letting us the necessary time to take pictures and enjoy. She is very respectful of her guests, as well as very knowledgeable. I highly recommand you to book a tour with Joo Bee as time flew for us and we were captivated during 3 hours despite the warmth… "

" We thoroughly enjoyed the food tour with Yassin. He is a spontaneous guide with whom you can have a nice conversation about Penang and Malaysia. We also tasted a lot and received explanations about the "cuisine of Malaysia." We tasted things we would never have chosen ourselves! Highly recommended. Thanks again, Yassin."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Lisa. The selection and quantity of food was perfect. We sampled lots of new local street food that we would never had done otherwise - and the best samosa and beef rendang that we have ever eaten. Lisa is lovely and her knowledge of the local food was exceptional. A great experience!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed the food tour. The food was excellent and it was paced well - he adapted the tour for our speed which was great. He was a very nice person and we did enjoy ourselves."

"We booked an evening food tour with Remy, and it was honestly such a wonderful experience! Remy was an amazing guide. You could immediately tell that he is a true local, which made the experience feel so much more authentic. He showed us so many delicious local foods and took us to places we probably would never have found on our own. We felt much more connected to the local street food scene and got to experience the evening and nightlife at the street food market in a way we probably wouldn't have been able to on our own. What made the tour especially special was how comfortable and welcome Remy made us feel. He was incredibly friendly, easy to talk to, and we had such interesting and enjoyable conversations with him. We genuinely enjoyed listening to him and learning from him. He also paid close attention to our wishes and preferences and adapted the tour as much as possible to what we wanted. The whole evening felt so relaxed and personal that it honestly didn't feel like a tour at all. It felt more like spending an evening with someone who was showing us their city and sharing their local knowledge with us. We had such a great time and would absolutely book another tour with Remy again. I can highly recommend him to anyone looking for an authentic, personal and unforgettable local food experience!"

"From start to finish, I felt my tour was directed to my wants. I got scenery, history, and info I would have never gotten merely walking around by myself. Im sold on this type of activity. Having a private guide kept things at a pace that made seeing Penang sooooo enjoyable. JoBee was so knowledgeable and her enthusiasm is contagious. "

"Our food tour with Lisa was one of the highlights of our stay in Penang! Lisa is incredibly warm, friendly, and approachable. She took plenty of time to answer all our questions and shared fascinating insights into the food, culture, and everyday life in Penang. The selection of dishes was outstanding. You can immediately tell that Lisa truly loves the local cuisine and knows exactly where to find the best specialties. Every dish was authentic, varied, and absolutely delicious—from savory favorites to sweet treats. What we especially appreciated was how well the tour was planned. We didn’t just enjoy amazing food, but also learned about the history and background of the different dishes, which made the experience even more memorable. If you really want to experience Penang, we highly recommend taking this tour with Lisa. We would book it again without hesitation. Thank you, Lisa, for such a wonderful day!"

"We did the "10 Tastings of Penang" tour with Mohd. He was a great host. He tailored the tour to our culinary preferences and gave us lots of interesting insights into the different flavors and their history in Penang. Mohd is clearly deeply rooted in George Town — walking with him past the food stalls and stands, everyone knows and greets him. That's really fun. We highly recommend him as a tour guide."
