"Lucien was on time- easy to understand and even used French when I asked - to practice my French language. He showed me all the most interesting parts of the market and helped me find a few presents that I was searching for. He was fun, interesting and provided a lot of info on the history of the area and the market. He helped me buy my metro ticket as the machine was broken and made sure I got on the right train to my hotel. "

He’s smart and interesting as well as flexible. "Lucien was the perfect guide for this market! My teen daughter is into vintage and really wanted to go to this market. These markets are not my thing and I was concerned about getting lost and also not being able to find what we wanted. Lucien lives close by and comes here often, so he could easily point out wonderful hidden galleries and, for instance, that the historical post cards in one gallery were six times as expensive as some similar items in another. Lucien specializes in historical paper artifacts (maps, books, postcards) and also shared much interesting information about classic French children’s toys and books. If you are looking for household or fashion items (vintage designer purses, silverware, furniture, Limoges) he can take you to where you’ll find them but (as he is forthcoming about in his tour description) he does not have expertise in these (though he will help you get the right price). Lucien’s English is excellent and we loved this tour. He also texted us after the tour with suggestions of where to find items that my daughter was looking for that weren’t at the market. Absolutely lovely guide and worth the price. "

"Lucien was very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. He has a passion for history which made it even more interesting. The markets are pretty cool. The market is not in Paris which I did not realize when I booked but we used Uber to and fro and it was fine. Trains are also available. We ate at a cute cafe after the tour.-there are a few to choose from. There is everything! My daughter bought a cool jacket for 8 euro and there was designer clothes for far more. Beautiful antiques and furniture and junk too! There is a lot to see and it was a great day! "
