Hi, I'm Maswa.
Halo, Maswa here 😊 I was born and raised in Jakarta, and I love meeting people from around the world while sharing my city, culture, food, and local stories✨ Join me to explore Jakarta through its foods, drinks, history, and hidden gems. We can discover local snacks, fruits, traditional drinks, and bustling local markets in CHINATOWN (GLODOK), one of the oldest and most vibrant parts of the city. For those interested in history, we can explore the OLD TOWN area and learn about Indonesia's journey to independence from Dutch colonialism. We can also visit MONAS, Jakarta's iconic landmark and a symbol of the nation's independence. Another unique stop is seeing ISTIQLAL Mosque and Jakarta CATHEDRAL standing face-to-face, representing Indonesia's diversity and harmony. If you'd like to dive deeper into Indonesian history and culture, the NATIONAL MUSEUM offers fascinating collections covering prehistoric artifacts, ethnic cultures from across the archipelago, and the history of Indonesia's famous spice trade. A quick note: most museums in Jakarta are closed every MONDAY for maintenance, so the itinerary may be adjusted on those days. I look forward to welcoming you and helping you experience Jakarta like a local💖
