When I was a kid, I first knew about Bat Trang ceramic village by its pottery products. I still remember how careful my mom was while unpacking stuffs. Another world – delicate and colorful exposed in front of my eyes. The set of tea pot and cups, the plates and bowls; the saving pigs looked charming and so alive. My mind was absolutely blown away.
Since I had my first trip there, I always want to come back. When I am sitting on the bus, I can totally enjoy the peaceful views outside the windows. The delightful Red River looks energetic with lines of boats transporting goods. The green color of endless bamboo ranges and gardens make me forget my hustle and bustle life. As soon as I get there, I am welcomed by quiet and clean atmosphere. I also have chance to make ceramic stuffs by myself, create funny things. Walking along the winding lanes is my pleasure. I can see “cool” walls that have rows of peat on them. Besides, observing local ceramic makers performing their work, I am inspired. from head to toe. The ancient commune house and French style house are magnificent. The well-reserved architecture and the historical stories amaze me.
Being in love with Bat Trang, I hope that the beauty of tradition and ceramic art will be always reserved and introduced to more and more people.
