"Michael was a very pleasant and knowledgeable guide. We (a private tour for my husband and I) spent several hours over 2 days with him doing his Hidden Basel and Food tours. He showed us many beautiful and historical places in the Old Town of Basel. We don't think we missed anything! You can tell he loves Basel too. He was well informed on the history and culture of the town. He is a very nice person and was careful to check with us on whether we needed a break, food, etc., as we went though our tours. We did give him quite a challenge on the food tour. We don't eat too much and this was a private tour, so only 2 of us, and it was in the morning (so no beer or wine stops). While he had certain stops planned out, it was clear that he hadn't planned ahead enough based on our situation. For instance we didn't need numerous pastry stops. We liked the places where we did stop to sample. The sausage and cheeses were delicious! Perhaps if he spent a little more time prior to the food tour preparing what we might do/not do would have been helpful. Overall we enjoyed our tours and found Michael to be a very friendly, knowledgeable and well informed guide. "
