"Exploring Dharavi with Shrikanth was one of the most meaningful and eye-opening experiences I’ve had in Mumbai. What struck me most was how thoughtfully and respectfully this tour was conducted. At no point did it feel exploitative or voyeuristic. Instead, it felt deeply human — centered on dignity, entrepreneurship, resilience, and community. Shrikanth was exceptional. His passion for Dharavi, its people, and its stories came through in every conversation and every street we explored together. He helped me understand Dharavi not through stereotypes, but through the lens of innovation, aspiration, artistry, and humanity. His love for photography added another beautiful layer to the experience, helping me slow down and truly see the life, color, texture, and energy surrounding us. What many outsiders misunderstand as simply a “slum” is, in reality, one of the most industrious and entrepreneurial communities in the world. The creativity and determination found within Dharavi are extraordinary. Walking through its neighborhoods, workshops, studios, and small businesses completely reframed my understanding of urban community, survival, and economic ingenuity. Most importantly, Shrikanth guided this experience with kindness, care, emotional intelligence, and authenticity. He made me feel welcomed, safe, informed, and connected throughout the journey. It genuinely felt less like a tour and more like being invited into the heartbeat of a community by someone who deeply loves and respects it. If you are visiting Mumbai and want an experience that challenges assumptions, expands perspective, and leaves you reflecting long after it ends, I cannot recommend this tour — and especially Shrikanth — highly enough."

"It is difficult to put into words what a privilege it was to be guided through the maze of backstreets by Shrikanth, to witness what life is like in the largest slum area in the world, Dharavi, of over a million people. We experienced the extremely loud hussle and bustle of market day before diving into a maze of narrow backstreets finding countless small factories run by hard working people. Busy non-stop in the textile & leather industry, recycling metal & plastic, carpentry and pottery. Seeing how religious communities live directly alongside each other yet in cramped and squalid conditions you would find impossible to imagine until you are actually there. We understand the future of the slums is uncertain now since the government has plans to make a new smart city intended to help, but which may change everything, dividing some who may struggle with the change, but hopefully retaining the strong communities who have so far made the impossible possible still transition and continue to survive. Shrikanth was exactly the right relaxed person you needed to inform and pace you smoothly on this unforgettable journey which certainly has put our own fortunate lives back into the right perspective. "We went on a Tasting tour with Chandramohan. He took us to very interesting places with really tasty and varied foods - and lots of it! He was such good company and told us all about the areas we visited and the history of the surrounding areas. We then booked the ‘off the beaten track’ with him & had such an interesting tour. We really got to know how things worked in Dharavi & see how it contrasted to other parts of the city. Chandramohan is obviously well liked by locals and has a real passion for his home city which allowed us to get the very best from our tours. "My family and I did the slum walking tour with Shrikanth and honestly, it was one of the highlights of our Mumbai trip. The guy really knows his stuff he's super knowledgeable about the area and explained everything in a way that actually made sense, not just random facts thrown at you. What we loved most was how respectful and genuine he was. You could tell he really cares about the community and wasn't just taking us through for the spectacle. He introduced us to locals, showed us how things actually work there, and answered all our (probably annoying) questions with patience. Shrikanth was also just really easy to be around friendly, professional, and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. Never felt rushed or awkward.
