I loved the places we visited (all the store owners were welcoming and kind) and Hieu always went above and beyond to ensure I had the best time possible. Hieu has great english and answered all the questions I had for him. "My wife & I would very much recommend any tour with Tony as his knowledge and recall of facts is second to none. He brought his tour to life with lots of stories and anecdotes and the day flew by. His car is immaculate and his driving extremely safe on the crazy Da Nang roads, we always felt safe and happy in his company. Tony was very entertaining and engaging and knew when to be the tour guide and when to leave us be in our thoughts. He is also a very honest person as I left my expensive sun glasses in his car by accident and when he found them he came all the way back to our hotel to return them in person. You may pay a bit more for With Locals tours but in my experience you get what you pay for and that is certainly the case with Tony! Great guy, highly recommend! Would give 6 stars if I could!"

"I chose Diem as my guide because of all the amazing reviews and ratings she had garnered over time. At first, I was unsure of what to expect since guides are individuals with very different styles. But I am one who is always open to different personalities as I travel. As they say, different colours make a palette! Aside from the standard offerings in the package, I asked Diem to customize the dining itinerary based on simple descriptions of my preferences. I was seeking some food experiences that were a little off the beaten track. In short, my unspoken message to Diem was "Go ahead. Astonish me!". :-) I was so glad that I had given Diem a free hand in whipping up a series of dining experiences. Diem is truly a creative person who takes personal pride in what she proposes. During my food tour with her, I was so delighted to learn of several dishes that were from unique parts of Vietnam. Diem took the trouble to explain the origin of each dish. To tourists who are seeking excellent guides who communicate effectively and clearly, look no further -- Diem is your choice. She speaks very good English which is a major plus for me. Because of her excellent spoken English, we could discuss and banter about so many things in life as well. She engaged with me so well that I was wondering if we have even met before. This is not just another artificially sweet review to fulfil a guide's sense of satisfaction. I am expressing my appreciation for Diem after some careful thoughts and out of sincerity. Simply put, Diem is the best personal guide I have ever come across in all my solo travels across the world. She has indeed met every facet of my silent challenge to her when we first started, to "astonish me" in my food tour!
