"Sammy was our tour guide and did an amazing job organizing the tour. He was very open and friendly, and the 2.5 hours were perfectly spent with great food along the way. The absolute highlight was the rooftop bar Sammy recommended. Overall, a 10 out of 10 experience!"
"Araya was a great tour guide. She took us to the flower market and on the way we saw the Grand Palace and some temples all lit up at night. We also went to Chinatown. She was great!"
"The tour was great! Even though we were there while the Grand Palace was closed for mourning, Araya still took us to the outside of the walls and pointed out the building that houses the emerald Buddha. It was a nice way to spend our first night in Bangkok and I would highly recommend this tour to everyone! Whether you have just 1 night in Bangkok or several, this tour is worth it!"
"We have just returned from our wonderful market street food tour with Moddy.
Prior to the tour Moddy sent us all the details that we needed to meet up with her on WhatsApp. If you are new to Thailand it explains in detail about where to go and how to get there.
We met with Moddy and the first thing we noticed was her infectious smile. She has to be one of the most uplifting, positive minded people that we have met. She welcomed us and explained what was about to transpire.
Without giving too much away the food, clothing and gift market was excellent. Moddy whisked us around explaining all the variety of food and the it was up to us to choose our meals and drinks. There was so much variety it was hard to choose. Moddy made it so easy for us with letting us know her favourites and why. We then spent the next few hours eating and swapping stories. She is a fantastic host and an asset to the WithLocals company. She truly represents the open friendly nature of Thai people, it's food and its culture. She is knowledgeable and provided us with lots of local hints and tips for the remaining time on our holiday.
We can't recommend Moddy highly enough. Anyone considering a tour with Moddy won't be disappointed.

"Myself and two friends enjoyed this evening tour on Thursday, Oct 17, 2024. Seeing the city lit up at night , in a safe way, was a real treat. Our local guide, Araya, met us exactly where she promised and took us on a very well thought out tour. We were mostly on foot, but also travelled by tuk tuk. We visited a local temple and learned about her Buddhist religion. We visited a massive flower market, that was bursting with color and aroma! We finished up in China town, which was hustling and bustling still at 10 pm. She found opportunities for us to try local cuisine and made sure we were safely in a cab before she said good night. Would definitely recommend this tour and Araya as a guide. "
"Our evening tour with Kim (Apicha) was fantastic. He was very friendly, funny and accommodating. The highlight was our visit to Chinatown where we were treated to a sampling of some amazing teas brewed by a skilled brewmaster. We learned so much and it was a real treat. Kim even ran to get us a nice snack to enjoy with our tea. We got to get a great sense of the hustle and bustle of Bangkok as it comes to life at night from a tuk tuk that Kim had arranged. That was incredibly fun. I think our favorite stop was at a specialty restaurant that only served satay—the best we had ever had and so inexpensive. Kim was awesome throughout and took great care of us, considering our dietary restrictions. We recommend Kim highly and know you can’t go wrong choosing him as your guide. "
"Araya was a great tour guide. We began the evening at a local temple where Araya gave us a great overview of the local Buddhist traditions. We took a Tuk Tuk to see the Grand Palace at night, which was gorgeous. We went to the flower market, the Red Light district and ended the night in Chinatown. Araya spoke excellent English and provided a wonderful local perspective. We would highly recommend her for any visit to Bangkok. "
