"In spite of some really bad weather, Alan provided our group with a great experience. He met us at our hotel and designed a tour that mostly kept us out of the elements. He was able to show us things between tapas stops and the food was fabulous. He took us to places that were more local in the Gothic area. Alan was very engaging and we thoroughly enjoyed his company. We will definitely be asking for him the next time that we are in Barcelona. "

"We booked a few tours in Spain, but our evening with Ivanna was the highlight of the Barcelona leg of our trip. She's warm, funny, and so easy to be around. Within minutes it felt like exploring the city with a friend rather than following a guide. We started at Mercat de la Boqueria. We'd ultimately visited quite a few markets on our trip, but seeing one with a local was a completely different experience: more personal, more relaxed, and far more fun. One vendor serenaded me as he handed over some fuet (which was amazing, by the way). From there we wandered through Plaça de Sant Miquel and the Gothic Quarter, stopping for fantastic churros while Ivanna shared stories about Barcelona's history. She clearly loves her city, and her enthusiasm is contagious. The best part was Poble Sec. Ivanna showed us a side of Barcelona we never would have found on our own, away from the tourist crowds. At Pincho J we had the best patatas bravas of our entire trip. Lots of places claim theirs are the best; these actually are. We finished with drinks at Bar La Bota, a lively, stylish spot and the perfect end to the day. If you want to experience Barcelona like a local, book Ivanna.
