Not a fault of our guide -- the neighbourhood has probably transformed so much the last decade that unfortunately only a few spots or 'hidden gems' with it's character are left. Still, seeing what has changed recently and over the years was something worth observing. We nevertheless enjoyed the tour. Our guide Ron was knowledgeable and planned the route well. Other than about the peranakan culture and architecture, we also found out about new things about Singapore history. His quick wit and humour was very entertaining! So, 10/10 for Ron, but if I'm new to Singapore I'd explore other neighbourhoods as a start."
