"This was the most memorable and favorite food tour my family and I have had. Mayumi is truly a professional guide and is passionate about sharing the food, culture, and history of Porto. She took the time and care to make my family and I feel comfortable and we felt very confident with her direction. She is very friendly and welcoming and kept us engaged with the experience throughout. Thank you Mayumi for a great experience! To anyone looking into a food tour of Porto - Mayumi is the best! "
"My family (ages 7 to 65 years old) had a wonderful time visiting Sintra and the Belém quarter with Tiago! He was a very knowledgeable tour guide and made sure all parties were having a good time. Tiago is very personable and easy to get along with. I highly recommend taking a small guided tour to Sintra as the area is congested and I was happy to be in a small vehicle versus a large tour bus. We visited in the Spring and if you go during this time, I recommend bringing a coat to Sintra due to the winds once up near the Palace. Even with colder weather on the day of the tour we had a great day overall. "
"Miguel provided us with an outstanding and memorable experience of the tastes of Porto. The tour was thoughtfully designed and throughout Miguel enriched the experience with stories and insights on the history and culture associated with the foods and locations. Despite multiple challenges (the blackout and then torrential rain during the rescheduled tour) Miguel made it a fun experience that we will always treasure. "
"On the morning of our scheduled private food tour, we set out from our hotel to the meet point and not only did it start raining, but it was hailing. Yet there was Miguel on time and ready to take us on a food journey of Porto. Luckily the rain (and hail) subsided and Miguel took us to places we never would’ve walked into by looking from the outside. Each place was amazing and Miguel shared with us some of the nuances of the food we were tasting, and the establishments. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. Thanks Miguel!"
"We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour with Helena. She took us to so many interesting and varied places including the oldest grocery store in Porto and a traditional Futbol club bar, very local! She also shared alot of Porto and Portuguese history with us. She was very personable and has a wealth of knowledge about food and she offers cooking classes in her home as well. We would love to do that on our next visit to Porto.
Thank you Helena. "
"We signed up for a 2 hour food tour with Jorge. We met at the Mercado do Bolhao for some starter snacks, and then walked to 2 other small, untouristy places for a simple meal and dessert. All the food choices were good and a comfortable conversation flowed throughout the tour. We liked the small, family-owned eating place the best. It had a good history and super food. The carpachio was also great.
We recommend Jorge!

"We wanted an experience where we learned about the people, culture and food from the lens of a local and we had a wonderful day! I was having some back pain and Ana re routed our tour to avoid steep hills while still delivering the full Porto experience. Delicious food, fabulous drinks and fantastic company. Highly recommend Ana for an authentic Porto experience!"
"We had the absolute pleasure of spending time with Helene, our local guide in Porto, and we couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience. Helene is not only incredibly kind and warm-hearted, but her passion for food and her love for the beautiful city of Porto truly shine through in everything she does.
She introduced us to hidden culinary gems we would have never found on our own—authentic, local places full of soul and flavor. Every stop was a story, every bite an experience, and Helene made it all feel personal and special.
We're so grateful for her generosity, her knowledge, and the heartfelt way she shared her city with us. Thank you, Helene, for giving us such unforgettable memories. Porto will always taste a little sweeter because of you!
