"Lorena showed us around downtown Lima, historical locations, shopping. We tasted Peruvian turron at the oldest bakery in Lima. We tasted churros and chicha, and ended the tour with Pisco Sours at the Maury Hotel bar. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Lorena as a tour guide!! She also recommended restaurants for us to go to during our stay and even made reservations for us!! "

"So many wonderful memories were made during our day long tour of Lima with Lorena. We started our day when she graciously met us at our hotel at 10AM. We spent the next 5 hours walking and using Uber all over the city while also learning about the historic and archeological history of Peru and Lima. Along the way Lorena gave us opportunities to sample many of the local and country's delicacies and interesting unique foods. Some examples are: causa, ceviche, churros, local grown coffees, and local fruits (lucuma & more!) at one of the cities main Mercados. Shopping for alpaca products/jewelry and then a recommendation for a fabulous dining experience at Huaca Pucllana near the adobe/clay pyramid. We would highly recommend Lorena as a guide to anyone visiting Lima, is a foodie, and appreciates historical education."

"We have eaten our way through Lima learning how to cook ceviche and lomo saltado in the most authentic way possible which is inside a local’s kitchen in their own home. Choji made us feel welcomed and has so much love and passion for his art. We had 4 kids with us and they all loved preparing each dish and so much as eating it. We also went on a food tour with our favorite guide, Choji, who took us to local spots we would have never discovered on our own . ❤️ing Peru, it’s good and people and Choji has a lot to do with it. "Choji was EXCELLENT! What a wonderful way to kick off our first night in Lima and begin our trip with a local who loves his country and sharing it with others. First off, I had accidentally booked out tour for the WRONG DATE and when I contacted Choji he saved the day! He quickly suggested alternatives to accommodate my mistake and ultimately ended up doing our tour just hours later so we didn't miss the experience. He even ended up bringing us back to our hotel in his own car at the end of the night. What great service. He made us feel like he truly cared and we had an instant connection with someone from Lima. We sampled foods from the market area, street food, Chinatown and probably the best roasted chicken we'd ever had - I know, chicken - right?? Choji is like a walking encyclopedia and you can feel the passion he has for history, architecture and Peru in general and we were so engaged. He left us with restaurant recommendations for the remainder of our trip as well as contacts for tours and has been quick to reply when we've had other questions.
