"My husband and I normally book group tours, but we wanted something special for Marseille and, boy oh boy did Anthony deliver! He is knowledgeable and personable but above all else, he is passionate about the many things that make Marseille an unforgettable city. Just spending the day with Anthony was so uplifting. He embodies the national motto of France: Liberte (Liberty), Egalite (Equality) and Fraternite (Fraternity). Anthony tailored the tour to our interests, going so far as to take us to a spice shop like none other in the world. While there, he helped me navigate through hundreds of spices to get just what I wanted. He also took pictures for us, and he turned out to be an amazing photographer as well! The pictures he took look like they were done by a professional! If anyone reading this review would like to spend the day with an incredibly competent tour guide who will help you regain faith in humanity (many Americans need that right now), please book a tour with Anthony. "Of course you would, and should, visit the central Marseille sites….but we would strongly recommend you have Jean-Marc take you on his tour to discover some magnificent, unknown local neighbourhoods around the coast. Just 10 minutes taxi or Uber from The Old Port, it’s both a relaxing variation to another day waking the busy hot streets of downtown and will, we imagine, change your memories and opinions of Marseille when you leave. It could very well be the reason you return one day!! Jean-Marc was so easy going, it was fun being ‘With a Local’ for the morning. "
